If the item fails authentication, the buyer receives a full refund. The seller is responsible for the authentication fee, and only then the item is returned to them.

Authentication fees are fixed and paid directly to COS. We partner with international and verified authenticators, and each item that passes receives an official certificate of authenticity.
Failed Verifications?
If an item fails authentication, it is returned to the seller at a fee, the listing is removed, and the seller’s credibility may be impacted. Repeated failed submissions may lead to restrictions or removal from the platform.
